Peruvian fine-dining restaurant coming to The Royal Atlantis – La Mar by Gastón Acurio all set to open in late 2020. This will be the second restaurant that has been announced at the incoming The Royal Atlantis Resort & Residenceson the Palm, with a Peruvian fine-dining spot set to open when the resort arrives next year.
All set to open in late 2020, La Mar by Gastón Acurio will be a gastronomic, experimental Latin American restaurant. La Mar will serve up some fascinating dishes alongside many of the country’s classics like ceviche, antichucos, grilled meats and more. La Mar restaurant comes to be in line with the already announced Dinner by Heston Blumenthal – the first Dubai offering from the famous experimental British chef.
La Mar will feature traditional Peruvian seafood with sustainably-sourced food with the team of chefs saying that all fish served at La Mar “will be sustainably sourced to alleviate over-exploited fish species”. The place will also only serve fish that has been caught that day. The daily menu will vary from time to time as the chefs work with what can be sourced.
There is a little wait until we can set foot inside the new hotel and its new restaurants. Scheduled for a 2020 opening, the US$1.4 billion (Dhs5.14 billion) The Royal Atlantis Resort & Residences development will house 800 guest rooms and more than 230 serviced apartments. There will also be a number of apartments and suites with private gardens, terraces and even private swimming pools. The resort will feature more than 90 swimming pools in total, including a rooftop infinity pool suspended 90 metres above the Palm.
