Akiba Dori

Taking inspiration from Tokyo’s neon-lit electronics district Akihabara, Akiba Dori is located in Dubai Design District. Offering a new wave of casual, cool restaurant concepts – d3 has successfully able to hold their own in Dubai. Their Tokyopolitan pizza is a must-try. Veganism exists in Dubai’s creative district, Japanese restaurant Akiba Dori serves up a metaphorical buffet of vegan dishes. Amongst Few

This café on Jumeirah Beach Road has a load of vegan options on its menu. The menu at Amongst Few Cafe offers a rotating combination of organic meats and dairy alongside fresh seasonal dishes of various styles including Thai, Italian, Portuguese, British and Japanese fusions. For the special coffee and subsequent accoutrements, amongst few cafe features a familiar traditional name in premium organic fair trade coffee sourced directly from Ethiopia’s Kaffa province and locally roasted in the UAE. Amongst Few is also ethically sound, whipping up a load of environmentally (and animal) friendly options including the vegan pancakes and vegan satay noodle salad. Nassau

Impressive new Mediterranean restaurant, Nassau, opened in Dubai at the end of 2019 with celebrity chef and Masterchef Bulgaria judge, Silvena Rowe at its helm. The restaurant boasts white-washed walls, green trees and comfortable and chic seating. Their specially-dedicated vegan menu includes dishes like iceberg wild green leaves salad with Japanese wafu dressing, vegan Greek salad, superfood and vegan blue spirulina Chia and much more.

Il Borro Tuscan Bistro

Il Borro Tuscan Bistro Dubai has been is news since its opening in early 2017 in Dubai. This Italian restaurant has a lot to offer suitable for families and friends. One of the newest additions this year, Soul Santé Cafe in Dubai Marina is exactly what one expects from a vegan restaurant. The walls are decorated with foliage and the exposed white bricks giving a general feel of calmness. This is an ideal place to spend an afternoon working away from the office. The ambience at the restaurant is natural, well-ventilated and relaxing. For an alfresco dining experience, check out new vegan hotspot Folia. Located in the picturesque gardens of Four Seasons Resort Dubai at Jumeirah Beach, Folia offers an extensive plant-based menu with a range of tasty options. Vegan-venture Folia (which means “from the leaves” in Latin) is coming to Dubai soon, following a successful launch in California’s Beverly Hills and Bahrain. Folia is a consultancy and teaching partnership between Prince Khaled bin Alwaleed and American celebrity chef Matthew Kenney. Dishes on the Folia menu include seasonal starters such as watermelon poke in a ponzu-lime broth, hearts of palm ceviche with cherry tomatoes, and beetroot hummus with oregano cream. Main courses options include a wild mushroom sandwich with caramelised onions and truffle aioli and green herb tacos, and desserts range from coco-berry mousse with hazelnut gelato and a coconut cream pie.

Veganity

Veganity is a very well known brand in the UAE among plant-based eaters. The restaurant was launched in 2017 as the first vegan meal prep and catering delivery service. And now it’s also getting a permanent home at City Walk. With everything vegan, it’s also 100 percent organic, GMO-free, no preservatives, artificial flavourings or colourings and with gluten-free options available for all, too.

Bloom Vegan Kitchen

Vegan in Dubai can have a nice choice with BLOOM Vegan Kitchen has a number of delightful and healthy choices for clients to check out. The online outlet launched in Dubai in April, and since then has expanded across all emirates. BLOOM Vegan Kitchen serves burgers, salads, bowls and more. All dishes cooked up by the new kitchen are 100 percent vegan and delivered within 30 minutes.

Fuchsia Urban Thai
