The team experts fuse the food and experience of a Roman trattoria, Florentine steakhouse and Neapolitan pizzeria into one lively restaurant, BASTA! Diners can have a hearty, family-style meal from chef David Myers. The restaurant is sophisticated and industrial in the way with the addition of a giant Sophia Loren mural on one wall. BASTA offers views of the Dubai Water Canal through floor-to-ceiling windows during the day.
Clients must taste rigatoni and the day’s pizza special for mains. The mozzarella in carrozza (fried cheese sandwich) is out of the world with fresh bread, the fragrant basil and stretchy cheese. The Roman meatballs are well-seasoned and served in a rich, tangy tomato sauce. The pizzas are great here, topped with a delicious beef pepperoni, its spicy oils melt mozzarella. The cacio e pepe pasta is creamy, salty and pecorino.
