Chef Rohan D’souza is popularly known as the conductor of gourmet symphonies, he has worked with renowned celebrity chefs James Martin and Marco Pierre White. He has served as head chef at “The Bistro”, run by James Martin and worked at “The White Room”, by Marco Pierre White. He has taken over as the Culinary Director/Lead Chef with assorted brands across many geographies.
The kitchens at Silver Beach Cafe offers casual comfort food menu that champions a wide selection of small and large plates along with a series of more substantial, seasonal driven meals available to the Arabian oasis. Their menu includes a wide range of eats including soups, signature tossed salads, crinkle thin crusted flat bread pizzas, table fondue, vegetarian large plates, sea to plate, signature steaks, large plates meats, sweet course, and also thirst quenching beverages.
Al Seef is located close to the Al Fahidi Historical Neighbourhood and Al Fahidi Fort on the Dubai Creek. New tourist destination by Meraas that is all set to offer dining, shopping and hospitality options is open. Showcasing heritage and contemporary architecture combined together to create a destination is set to breathe life into the tourism in the centre of the city.
Meraas has
announced that the first phase of Al Seef is now open to the public along Dubai Creek. The 1.8 km long destination will tell Dubai’s story through architecture and distinctive experiences, enabling visitors to experience the heart of the city along its much-loved creek. Al Seef was designed to present the traditional Emirati culture that underpins Dubai’s iconic heritage. A visit to the destination, located adjacent to Al Fahidi historical district, will inspire both residents and tourists with its authentic design aesthetic and ambience, offering homage to the age-old traditions of the UAE. The heritage area at Al Seef is patterned after old architecture in Dubai, while the sophisticated contemporary area contains sleek architectural spaces that blend seamlessly.
With an assortment of floating restaurants, a marina for private yachts, floating market and links to the Dubai water taxi network, Al Seef also celebrates Dubai’s rich maritime heritage and the role that the creek has played in the city’s transformation.
These features add to the charming atmosphere at Al Seef and resonate throughout the many alleyways and walkways that feature captivating shops, cafés, restaurants, and an events plaza where a number of exciting activities bring this area of the creek to life. Al Seef is completely pedestrianised and benefits from a multimodal transport system that links to major locations across the city. Dubai International Airport and Downtown Dubai are both a short drive for those arriving by car, with valet parking and plenty of underground parking spaces available upon arrival. Two metro stations are located close by, with regular shuttle buses operating between major hotels within Dubai and other connections to the RTA public transport network operating between several prominent hotels. The creek offers access to Al Seef with yacht moorings; water taxis and abras that service the destination.
