With rotating exhibitions and staring at that incredible roof keeps drawing us back for another visit but now there’s a new way to experience the museum from the water. In April the team announced that visitors can now kayak around Louvre Abu Dhabi on a weekend. People can experience it at night.
Seahawk, the company taking kayakers around Louvre Abu Dhabi, is now launching a full moon version of the tours one can see what the iconic museum looks like lit up at night from the water. Those who have never seen Louvre Abu Dhabi lit up at night should not miss out. They can get to check it out while kayaking in the cooler weather. Tours will take place on July 17 and 18, August 1 and 16 and September 13 and 14 and they run at 20:30 and 22:00 and last an hour. There’s no price list shared at the moment, but the usual kayak tours are Dhs126 per person. Since the spaces are limited, it is essential to do the booking much ahead in time. Visitors can enjoy the museum from the stillness of the Arabian Sea. Take a tour on a kayak and learn all about Louvre Abu Dhabi’s architecture from a unique perspective. No prior experience is necessary. Tours last 60 minutes. Guests will be accompanied by professional instructors and given a safety and paddle briefing prior to the tour. Children between the ages of 6 – 12 should be accompanied by parents or guardians. It is necessary to wear appropriate clothing. Changing rooms are available near the Kayaking Meeting point. Depending on weather conditions, sessions might be rescheduled or cancelled. In case of cancellation, a notice with be given by phone.
