At
the Ocean School, children can be a part of interactive programs, with an exceptional and engaging schedule. The team at the Dubai Aquarium & Underwater Zoo enables students to observe, investigate, and discuss ecological concepts. Students learn to appreciate and value the aquatic environment, and dive into topics such as adaptation, survival tactics and reproduction.
The Education Value includes wide range of programs that invite students to use their theoretical knowledge in the STEAM subjects to action. They stimulate their young minds with real world applications of the material they’ve learned in school, and encouraging them to participate in hands-on learning opportunities. School Program Factsheet includes guided programs are offered from Sunday to Thursday with three daily one-and-a-half-hour sessions: 08:30 – 10:00, 10:15 – 11:45, & 12:00 – 13:30.
The
duration of guided visit/program: an hour and a half, guided tours are offered daily with teacher’s guided booklets are available. Guided programs can accommodate 300 students per session, with an open capacity for self-guided visits. Visit goodies vary by program and free entry for one teacher per every 10 kids (4+ years), or 1 teacher per every 5 kids (under 4 years). Discount vouchers are given to teachers and students for their next visit! The team arranges details so one can enjoy an easy, stress-free and enjoyable excursion.
Early Childhood Programmes include a stimulating environment for young learners aged 1 to 5 years. The program’s focus around teaching concepts such as Colour, Pattern, Sequencing, Language, and My Place in the Environment make it the perfect learning venue for these young learners. The program gives a tour with an interactive, informative, and inspiring journey through Dubai Aquarium & Underwater Zoo.
Students will learn about varied aquatic environments and interact with a diverse range of marine life. The team is able to choose from four different focus areas that highlight different topics, from animal behaviour, to adaptation, to conservation, and even resident species of the U.A.E.
Penguin Parade allows one to waddle like a penguin as they learn about fun animal characteristics, starting with the antics of the playful Humboldt penguins. With stories and activities, children will develop an understanding of animal behaviour and they identify characteristic behaviours for many different species of animals. Shark Parade program builds on environmental awareness by building connections between students, animals and the environment. Hands on activities give an interesting introduction to preserving the planet.
Crocodile Parade teaches more about the fascinating world of crocodiles through fun stories, games and activities that will introduce young learners to Dubai Aquarium & Underwater Zoo’s newest resident, King Croc. Turtle Parade gives a chance to take the plunge as they learn about turtles and what they can do to help them survive in the wild. Enjoy stories, games and puzzles that teach about these jewels of the sea.
People can join the Conservation Program, Survivor Program, Jewels of Arabia Program, Animal Care Program etc at the Dubai Aquarium & Underwater Zoo.
