is getting a new super-tall tower with breathtaking city views.
Dubai is all set to showcase a new very tall building made of glass that offers the brilliance of diamonds. The 78-storey Uptown Tower in JLT is going to offer breathtaking views of the city skyline and waterfront. The destination will also feature a two-level central plaza twice the size of New York’s Times Square as well as a luxury hotel, restaurants and a health spa. Filled with natural light, the place sheds light on the interior spaces, with the facade filtering out the glare of the sun.
The
super-tall tower is the first to be announced in the new Uptown Dubai district, which master developer DMCC says is set to become the new hotspot of Dubai, offering a “live-work-thrive” experience for its residents and businesses. New York architecture firm Rockwell Group will be designing the interior of the supertall tower, with the site also due to comprise of 237 uniquely designed branded residences. It is also heard that a new SO/Sofitel hotel – SO/Uptown – is expected to be inside the building as well.
Although the developer Belhasa Six Contract has not yet revealed the height of the building, but it is expected to be at least 300 metres tall when it opens in 2020. The place will join other enormous skyscrapers in Dubai including the Princess Tower, Elite Residence, Address Downtown and Cayan Tower.
Uptown Dubai will deliver a 10 million square foot residential and enterprise hub, with 200 retail and food and beverage outlets. There will be approximately 3,000 residences, a massive central entertainment plaza and a range of luxury hotels which it says will offer “supreme” amenities to residents, workers and guests.
Coming exclusively to Uptown Dubai, SO/ Sofitel introduces SO/ Uptown Dubai, these luxury branded residences are all set to be released soon. The interior architecture is said to be taken up by New York based Rockwell Group. Famous for their breathtaking designs, the 5 star hotel will feature modular and contemporary elements to elevate the SO/ Sofitel Uptown Dubai as a beacon of energy, art and entertainment, transforming it into an upbeat urban destination.
