System Facility, Ambulatory Healthcare Services (AHS) was formed to facilitate and furnish a unique arrangement of the diagnostic and treatment services of a hospital with the personalized care that a healthcare center offers. The organization provides community-based services across the Emirate of Abu Dhabi including Ambulatory Care Centers, Disease Prevention & Screening Centers, School Health Services and Mobile Health Clinics.
Throughout the 38 Ambulatory Care Centers, AHS provides easily accessible medical and dental services to about two million patients every year, facilitating SEHA hospitals to pay attention to their core expertise of tertiary care management. Patients come from remote areas and are particularly grateful, as AHS facilities are well-known throughout the emirate’s Middle and Eastern Regions where full-scale hospitals can be several hours away.
The ten Disease Prevention & Screening Centers are specialized units
offering communicable disease screening and prevention services across the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, while School Health Services is responsible for providing a comprehensive and coordinated school health program for all public school students. In 2012, AHS became the very first organization of its kind in the world to be accredited by Joint Commission International. AHS is a member of the SEHA HealthSystem, which is responsible for managing and developing public hospitals and clinics in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.
At AHS, the team provides a unique combination of family medicine, specialty, screening and diagnostic services in the comfortable and personalized setting of a healthcare center. Their healthcare centers are spread across Abu Dhabi and Al Ain cities and provide comprehensive, community based, high quality and accessible care tailored to the community’s requirements. So as to ensure easy access to healthcare centers, the team has extended the opening hours to serve people on Fridays and Saturdays in selected centers and we are continuously expanding their specialty services across the network to bring specialized care closer to all.
