The month of December begins with a whirlwind of activity and enthusiasm for the UAE’s 45th National Day Anniversary! A brief summery of the action for all so as to plan their big weekend.
For the anniversary that falls on Thursday (1 December), it comes alive with the “National Day Arabic Concerts” and features Emirati artists taking place around the city at Dubai Mall, Dubai Festival City, Mall of the Emirates, City Walk, The Beach and City Centre Mirdif from 20:00.
After the National Day itself, 2 December, the celebrations will continue with the sky lit up with fireworks at The Beach from 20:30. National Day Fireworks in Dubai will mark the 45-year anniversary of Spirit of The Union and the the city will participate in a magical display that will light up the skies with a spectacular show of pattern, colour and sound. Visitors must try to beat the crowds and get there early, because the area will fill up fast. Also, one has to think about parking and plan in advance so they can catch the cool weather, magical fireworks and a truly memorable event. For all those who are willing to celebrate into the late night can join the exclusive party at Dubai World Trade Centre at 21:30, where international star DJ Tiёsto will perform live in an audio-visual, electronic dance music spectacular.
On the first three days of the month, from 1-3 December, Arabian music will be played in the malls with UAE & GCC traditional bands playing music from 16:00 – 22:00, while Dubai’s amusement parks, Global Village, IMG World and Dubai Parks will host many thrilling programmes and National Day celebrations. For all those who have plans to avoid last minute shopping in this gift-giving month, shopping malls will have special National Day sales featuring 60%-90% off across the city. Everyone who want to continue the cheer can head to City Walk for the National Day Carnival which starts early from 27 November, from 16:00 – 22:00 daily.
National Day Arabic concerts will feature home-grown singing talents who will take the stage for the UAE’s 45th National Day Anniversary. Everyone can get into a celebratory and patriotic mood with two hours of Arabian tunes taking place around the city. Mohamed Al Shehhi will be performing at City Centre Mirdif, Mohamed Al Menhali will entertain Mall of the Emirates. Visitors will also find Shamma Hamdan at Dubai Festival City, while Hamad Al Amri will grace Ibn Battuta Mall and Faisal Al Jasem will be entertaining the crowds at The Beach Mall. They will all be singing at the same time on December 1, so they can listen to their favourite performer – and head over early with the whole family to find a good spot.
