Sprawled out across a sizeable space at the foot of Dubai’s dramatically pharaonic new Sofitel, The Nine is a stunning addition appointed as the hotel’s fine dining restaurants Taiko and Brasserie Boulud.
A central island bar at the entrance of The Nine Gastropub promises enough space for guests while they decide their drink. The space accommodates the addition of a few TV screens showing the latest day’s sport. Spectacular design and ambience – giving a strong feel of Egyptian heritage – the interior design with cat imagery is engraved on the walls, representative of the life story of the goddess Bastet – the ancient Egyptian goddess of protection. Just as guests walk through the door they are immediately immersed in ancient Egyptian heritage. Additionally, The Nine, which symbolizes the nine lives of a cat, has three inverted triangles hanging from the ceiling, representative of the three pyramids of Giza; Menkaure, Khafre and the Great Pyramid of Khufu.
The 
menus provide the best of traditional recipes and home comforts with a contemporary twist. The food served here is exotic and – haddock cooked in beef drippings, the triple-cooked chips, the salt cod scotched egg are great. The Nine Gastropub boasting a feline twist inline with the British pubs with enticing menu with your favourite games on the big screens while enjoying an impressive hops and beverage menu. These are all set in the backdrop of a setting infused with Sofitel Dubai The Obelisk’s Egyptian design influence.
The Nine neighbourhood gastropub symbolizing the nine lives of a cat, treat your spirits to cocktails and classic English culinary delights.
