Featuring in the place of JBR’s now-closed Trader Vic’s Mai Tai Lounge is this new Canadian spot called Ten Street. The place is located on the level 1 of the Oasis Beach Tower.
As soon as clients walk through the door, the friendly staff are happy to introduce themselves and they do remember everyone’s names and lead them right ahead for the comfortable booths.
Ten Street has a warm and welcoming feel with high ceiling, drinks logos that adorn the walls – which are most of the time covered with plain white tiles. They have one area that is covered with graffiti and a painting of a subway train. A great combination of songs play, ranging from House of Fun by Madness to the theme tune from the BBC sports show Grandstand. Guests can enjoy that while playing a game of ten-ball, which is pool with just ten balls. With fans of the number ten, they like to check their luck on the spinning wheel, with prizes including free drinks, food or brunch for two for the lucky guests. The bar also features a karaoke room in the corner that can be rented with a bunch of friends and guests can enjoy singing to Nickelback or Avril Lavigne.
The drinks are delicious and reasonably priced with mixed concoctions and their food menu can change every ten weeks. Guests enjoy ordering ribs, steaks, and that “I’m A Belieber” burger which is one of the favourite. This is a great spot that can is for the young and dynamic to hangout for those with a penchant for Canadian inspired food and desire to party all night. One can enjoy timeless music from the 70s, 80, and 90s, or hire a private dining room for Karaoke or live sports and three full size American ten ball tables. The venue offers a central hub for a number of people. All delicacies are cooked with that Ten Street expertise. With a signature 10 cocktail card Ten Street serves draught and craft beers.
Ten Streets is the most fun with regular DJs playing into the night, the venue does have a lot on offer for any time of day.
