For a matter of three days each year, Taste of Dubai, a full weekend festival of best restaurant food, tasting sessions, cookery workshops, talks and live entertainment are awaited. Dubai’s gourmets, gourmands and connoisseurs head for the annual event that attracts some of the city’s top restaurants, who curate tasting menus with bite-sized portions of their best dishes, all for a fraction of the usual price.
Expect to learn from some heroes of the culinary world – as every year the fair attracts the world’s top chefs for demonstrations, workshops and talks. There’s also an entertainment stage with family fun by day and live entertainment by night.
Foodies of Dubai will enjoy – Taste of Dubai, Dubai’s popular annual food festival, is returning to Dubai Media City for its 13th year next month. The festival will take place from Thursday March 12 until Saturday March 14 and it’s beginning with what’s being called “the UAE’s largest outdoor ladies’ night” – on the Thursday, ladies will get free entry to the foodie festival, along with two drink drinks.
Joining Dubai Food Festival, restaurants will join the three-day food extravaganza will be serving up tasty dishes from more than 20 restaurants across city and there will also be live cooking demonstrations from celebrity chefs, live music and plenty of activities and entertainment.
The 2020 line-up of celebrity chefs include internationally renowned Michelin-starred chef Vineet Bhatia, Dubai’s very own culinary duo Nick Alvis and Scott Price and other big names such as Tarek Ibrahim, Mohammad Orfali, Jenny Morris, Reza Mahammad, and Ayesha Al Obeidli – who at just 11 years old, is the youngest chef in the UAE.
Visitors can also relish eats at live barbecuing competition, cooking classes and plenty of activities for the little ones including games, face painting and cupcake decorating. Restaurants serving up food at the event include A Cappella, La Tablita, Sukhothai, Rhodes W1, Indya by Vineet, Geales, and ubk.
Tickets are now on sale and prices start at Dhs55 for standard entry and there’s also VIP tickets for Dhs120 which include three food vouchers and two drinks vouchers and access to the VIP lounge.
