Dubai’s 
acclaimed SLAB Test Kitchen restaurant from chef Omar Rodriguez is reopening in a brand-new location on Thursday October 7. The restaurant will be presenting with it the Peruvian cook’s refined take on Latin American cuisine.
Now located in Dubai’s Mercato Mall in Jumeirah 1, SLAB’s interiors have been tastefully designed. SLAB offers a good place for living – whether you’re dropping in for a latte at the coffee bar, meeting for a lazy lunch or just looking for an alternative place to remote work from for the day. Its menu, focuses on “food you love to eat”, plus specialty and local coffee. Starters range from zingy snapper ceviche to the fantastically crispy grilled octopus, via crunchy Mexican corn fritters and a kale salad tossed with noc chum. Just as you can see the chef behind Dar Wasl’s popular fried chicken joint BRD DXB, there are also burgers and chicken sandos up for scoffing, plus large plates including spicy noodles, miso salmon and crackling short rib served with crispy potato and a shoyu beef glaze.
