For all the fashion conscious, there is a lot to know about the electrifying night than the Costume Institute Benefit at The Metropolitan Museum of Art (Met Gala).
The Costume Institute of The Metropolitan Museum of Art is starting a new exhibition that opens on May 9 and runs through August 14.
The opening of the exhibition manifests 40 years of fashion by the Met Gala. Celebrities and models make their presence felt at the most daring red carpet event of the year in over the top get ups. The wacky theme of this year’s ball was Punk: Funky couture, creative hats, glitzy hair accessories, sharp eye make-up and dramatic hair-dos; the fashion was edgy on the red carpet.
Dubai Fashion made a statement with a big splash. International attention to Dubai’s red carpet feature at New York’s Met Gala was marked.
Michael Cinco, the Dubai-based Filipino designer made an assertion of talent from Dubai; British Singer Paloma Faith wore the artistic design. The dress was made of Swarovksi crystals in a degrading shade of colour; the stunning backless gown had a glistening effect making it very attractive.
Faith likes to go edgy with her striking dress, she teamed it with a Philip Treacy hat. At Cinco’s Russian Czar – inspired show at the Fashion Forward event in Dubai the dress had a long trail which faith let go off at the Met Gala event.
Cinco was thrilled to see the pictures of the Met Gala Event and her dress on the red carpet. She had got an email from the singer’s stylist who had seen the collection from Fashion Forward on the net. The dress was sent to New York but Cinco was not sure if she was going to wear it at the gala.
Cinco is an international designer in Dubai whose dresses have been chosen and flaunted by many celebrities including Lady Gaga, Chris Brown, Jennifer Lopez, Britney Spears and Sofia Vergara.
The custom-made dress was on display by Faith; the singer had performed in Dubai in April.
Kudos to the talented designer – list of celebrities will look at Dubai Fashion before they dress for the red carpet now.
