Ristorante L’Olivo Opens in Majestic Burj Al Arab

by DubaiCity Author

Ristorante L’Olivo, the only two Michelin-starred restaurant on the island of Capri, has now opened in the iconic Burj Al Arab. This multi awarded-Italian restaurant has unique culinary craftsmanship and flavours of the sea blended to create a one of a kind dining destination. This intricate culinary discipline is mastered and managed by the world’s critically acclaimed Chef Andrea Migliaccio of Capri Palace Jumeirah. Elegant and refined, the magnificent Ristorante L’Olivo will bring guests dinners in Mediterranean flavours and innovative dishes under the alluring glow of the coral reef aquarium that stands proudly at the heart of Al Mahara.

The fairy tale-rich ambience of Ristorante L’Olivo sets the stage for famed Chef Andrea Migliaccio to perform culinary magic in Dubai. The chef is a native of the beautiful island of Ischia, located in the northwest part of Capri, Italy and was surrounded by the best Mediterranean spices and ingredients. It became the chef’s inspiration to take some gastronomic traditions into an elegant cuisine. According to an article, Migliaccio recipes are like art. They are with a personal expression of culinary intrigue that is best shared with others. Guests will be treated to a vibrant and bold marine-inspired setting on the famous Burj Al Arab ground floor.

Ristorante L’Olivo welcomes its guest with great metallic walls and the golden passage leading all dinners to the underwater world of this Italian restaurant. Feel the magic of velvet navy blue accents combined with soft white and gold hues to create the restaurant’s luxurious décor, while sea-themed accents add to a magical environment. Sit back, relax and enjoy mouth-watering flavours, watching the residents of the massive aquarium set to add glamour and excitement to an exquisite dining experience.

The Italian restaurant, which Chef Migliaccio oversees, offers diners in Dubai the chance to taste the signature flavours of its counterpart at Capri Palace Jumeirah. Some of these unique dishes are Merluzzo Nero Black Cod ( served with spinach and sundried tomatoes and finished with coffee and liquorice). Tagliolini (perfectly paired with tuna fish tartare, bottarga and finished with zucchini and a squeeze of lime), Blue Lobster (with saffron, raspberries and sweet and sour vegetables), Creamy Risotto (with fresh lemon, red prawns, oyster leaf and a creamy bisque). Tonno Roso (Red tuna, Tartare con Avocado, Yoghurt, Cipolla Rossa, Indivia), Gambari Rossi (Smoked tomatoes, Quinoa, Fennels, Grapefruit, Campari) and  Granchio Reale (King Crab, Carrots Cous Cous, Green Apple, Paprika Scented Mayonnaise).

Diners can always dine a la carte or have a sumptuous feast of the five divine courses starting with Scampi Langoustine (served with green apple, yoghurt, oyster leaves and caviar). End it with Nacciole e Limone . This Italian restaurant has so much to offer. Guest can view their full menu here.

Italy is known as one of the best producers of the world’s most delicious and expensive wines. Bringing the best wines and campaigns from Italy to Dubai highlights this fantastic dining escape. Some of them are the 1999 Gaja Gaia & Rey Chardonnay Lange DOC, Cuvee de Prestige Brutt champagne selection, Sparkling and White wine choices, and many others.

My idea of kitchen is inspired by simple principles.
I wish you an intense journey to authentic flavours of this island and of the
Mediterranean, home of emotions and awesomeness, where I grew up. – Chef Andrea Migliaccio
