The QE2 has launched a brand-new weekly afternoon tea, taking place in the Queen’s Grill. Scheduled to take place every Thursday to Saturday from 15:00 until 17:00, the tea features a variety of sweet and savoury eats. Diners can order from their guest’s choice from a selection of ten premium Tchaba teas from Dubai. Priced from Dhs195, the savoury part of the experience will boast finger rolls and sandwiches including smoked salmon and horseradish, roast chicken with mustard, roast beef and gherkin, cream cheese and cucumber, along with egg mayonnaise with watercress. Those looking to have sweets, plain and raisin scones with clotted cream and jam, macaron, chocolate tart, salted caramel choux and baked cheesecake are also served. The spread is served along with two pots of tea. If guests opt for the premium package for Dhs250, they will also get hot savory pastries featuring beef Wellington, quail scotch egg with crab and quiche, along with additional sweet treats chocolate brownies and lemon drizzle cakes. The package for kids aged seven to 12 priced at Dhs95 features crust-less Nutella, turkey sandwiches, smiley face mini-pizzas, candy cookies, jelly and home-made milkshakes. This elaborate afternoon tea also has a few beverage packages priced from Dhs215, where guests choose from ten house beverage options varying from mixed drinks to premium bubbly.
