Pierchic is a multi-award-winning Italian restaurant set on the hotel’s private pier overlooking the shimmering azure waters of the Arabian Gulf. It’s not difficult to see why Pierchic is regularly proclaimed one of the city’s most romantic spots for a long lunch or dinner. Jutting out into the Arabian Gulf on a wooden pier, the restaurant wows with clever use of open indoor and outdoor spaces lined with woods, silver and endless glass walls. Specialising in shellfish and seafood, plus a few other meatier options, chef de cuisine Rosalind Park’s menu leans on the Mediterranean. This chic pier can be accessed from hotel Al Qasr’s pool and beach area as part of the Madinat Jumeirah.
Pierchic is by no means a stranger to the city’s culinary scene, regularly lauded for its unrivalled seclusion, romantic atmosphere and quality seafood cuisine. Located offshore in the shadow of the iconic Burj Al Arab hotel, the upscale restaurant is often cited as the place everyone should splurge on at least once during their time in the UAE. The newly refurbished interior is simple and understated, featuring dark wood floorboards, panelling, and charming lamps fashioned from fishing nets and sea glass.
The set menu includes a triad of starters, mains and desserts. For starters, a light vegetarian-friendly option is the Avocado Tartar which features grilled king oyster mushrooms served on a bed of radish salad in lemon oil. For something a bit more gratifying, try the Braised Short Rib Ravioli served with tomato essence and packed with beef flavour. This dumpling dish, made from scratch and soaked in a white cream sauce, is a divine incarnation of Italian cooking expertise. If seafood is your pleasure, sample the Grilled Loch Fyne Diver Scallops coated in bergamot butter and served atop tapioca pearl sauce. Pan-fried to perfection, the dish scores well for its simplicity and savouriness. Please click here to view its entire menu.
Diners can enjoy dessert packs on the final punch with French-inspired selections that are as decadent as dazzling. The Mille-feuille of Chocolate served with cocoa crumble, and dulce de leche should do just right for those with a serious sweet tooth. In contrast, the Creme Brulée Flambé served with berries achieves equally high marks for taste and presentation. For a lighter digestive, try the Coconut Pavlova featuring mango passion sorbet and compressed fruit.
Pierchic offers guests an authentic taste of Italy by the sea, showcasing rich culture and heritage through a chic gastronomic experience. It effortlessly combines refined presentation and exceptional service to create a story of authentic coastal Italian cuisine.
