A special surprise was awaiting for visitors as Modhesh the popular mascot made a sudden appearance at the popular shopping destination.
Modhesh cheered everyone by kids a tour of the mall to his new friends in his car and continued to meet and greet shoppers who visited them on the way. Children, rejoicing over Modhesh’s unexpectedly pleasing presence, were seen rushing towards the mascot to take pictures and continued to follow him on his trail.
Ahmed, a 12-year-old boy from Syria, said: “I am so thrilled to meet Modhesh in person. It is a great surprise indeed as I love him a lot. He is so friendly and funny. I am glad I was able to take a picture with him.”
Visitors to Dubai Festival City Mall have many exciting things to look forward to throughout DSS 2015, including the unique Kids Pop-up Summer Market at Festival Square, which is running until 15 August.
Along with a visual treat in the form of a number of floral-themed decorations enlivening the shopping ambience throughout summer.
Organized by the Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE), an agency of the Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM). DSS 2015 takes place until 5 September, under the theme ‘45 Days of Summer’, offering fantastic shopping, entertainment, leisure and winning opportunities for residents and visitors from around the world.
