The restaurant opened its doors in mid-2017, Long Teng is known for authentic Cantonese dining and hospitality. The restaurant goes all out to present elaborate dishes, bursting in flavours.
Along with simple authentic preparations, Long Teng offers complimentary fruit and coffee by the enthusiastic staff. The place is popular and a high-end destination designed to invite Dubai’s Chinese business community. Long Teng is located in the heart of Business Bay, it is also same location, in the entrance of U-bora Towers, diners can head upstairs for a sophisticated dining room setting. This well decorated restaurant spans three full floors, as the team serves the seafood-focused menu. The first floor incorporates private dining areas which can accommodate groups of ten to two hundred. On the second floor, there is a section for traditional hot pot as well as a shisha lounge.
The place is packed with the office lunchtime crowd, and orders food such as dim sum begin to be served. Dumpling are well presented with four strikingly dainty, leaf-shaped morsels, stuffed with prawn and bright green chive. Food is Fresh, light and very complex in flavour, they are delicious and are beautifully presented. The team also serves the chicken and sweetcorn soup, grilled scallops with salad sauce and potatoes, stir-fried choy sum and the Long Teng fried rice. The scallops are the fried potato haystacks and cool, slippery seafood just don’t quite work for our palate), the vibrant, crunchy, garlic-strewn choy sum greens are perfectly al dente. Packed with finely chopped veg, egg and prawns, the rice is filled with texture, and sits on just the right side of that satisfyingly buttery fried flavour. (No easy line to tread.)
