Legoland has officially launched in Dubai with zones such as – Factory, Miniland, Lego City, Kingdoms, Imagination and Adventure.
The Big Shop: As the guests arrive, they get to to walk under the enormous Legoland sign and through to Factory, this is the first of six themed zones in the theme park. The Big Shop stocks the largest selection of Lego bricks in the Middle East!
Lego characters can be seen in areas and visitors can pose for selfies with them.
The Lego Factory allows all to watch how a real-life Lego brick gets made, from beginning till end, and they can get your very own custom-made brick to take home.
Miniland: This is a tiny city of famous landmarks made of Lego and makes everyone feel like giants walking around the mini versions of the Burj Khalifa and the Dubai Metro, which are made from millions of shiny Lego bricks. They’ve even made the Burj Al Arab, with the little helipad next to it.
Build A City at Miniland Visitors can try to create the big buildings with the bricks at the build station. Most kids and adults find it very difficult to move away.
4D cinema experience: The Lego Movie 4D is The New Adventure that is exclusively shown at Legolands worldwide and now it is featured in the UAE. This is a 12-and-a-half-minute show that is combines 3D computer animation with real-world properties such as wind, water and fog. This is set after the events of the famous blockbuster film. It continues to run throughout the day in the Imagination zone.
Wave racers: Visitors can dodge the water blasts on Wave Racers in the Adventure zone. They can also launch 15 feet upwards on Beetle Bounce and visit an ancient temple to recover stolen treasure in Pharaoh’s Revenge. This is a fun activity for the whole family. Everyone can join the Lego divers for a underwater submarine adventure, too!
Kingdoms: This medieval-themed zone is home to The Dragon roller coaster and the smaller Dragon’s Apprentice ride (for littler people not yet big enough for the scarier ride). There are also many interesting stalls, where everyone can play games and win giant soft toys such as bears and tigers.
Lego City Airport: In the Lego City themed zone kids have an oppurtunity to fly planes at the airport, as well as join the crew on-board in the Seaport. They also get to battle “burning buildings” at the Fire Station (with the help of adults).
The Dragon coaster: At 16 metres high, this ride in Kingdoms zone can reach speeds of up to 60 kilometres per hour and moves through the Legoland Castle.
Technic Twister: Very similar to the classic tea cup ride, the Technic Twister in Imagination has a feature to spin round and round, with building excitment and thrills for all.
The Café: A clilled out place for all to grab a bite near the entrance in Factory, there are many restaurants lined up throughout the park.
The Driving School in Lego City: You can get your Lego driving licence,” says Nina about the Driving School, where kids can ride around in electric Lego cars and actually get a “licence”. “It’s brilliant! It feels like you’re driving on actual streets like where you live. I enjoyed this the most.”
Legoland Water Park: This water park is a completely separate theme park and has more than 15 water slides that includes a family raft, body and tube slides. They also have the Lego Wave Pool, Duplo toddler play area (with specially-designed slides suitable for the smaller kids) and an area where you can build your own custom raft.
Master Builder Academy in Imagination: This is a giant Lego Einstein head that is visible in front of the Master Builder Academy. Children can become mini engineers and learn new techniques with hands-on tuition from the professionals. They can even build their own model.
The Legoland Dubai location is strategically located on Sheikh Zayed Road between Dubai and Abu Dhabi as an integral component of Dubai Parks and Resorts, which is the Middle East’s largest multi-themed leisure and entertainment destination.
