This year it is presenting some of the famous Arabic music stars and is expected to be bigger and better.
The Emirati singer Ahlam, a member of the judge’s panel for Arab Idol is going to perform on this day. Born Ahlam Ali Al Shamsi in the capital, the reputed singer spent her early childhood in Bahrain. She returned to the UAE to complete her high school and university education. She began her music career when she was a child, with various roles in school plays and performances in local concerts and events.
The Iraqi singer and composer Majid Al Muhandis will also be featured at the concert. Majid’s name Al Muhandis refers to his history as an engineer, hence the title Majid “Al Muhandis,” which means “The Engineer” in Arabic.
Majid was raised in a simple Muslim family, he entered the field of art and finished University education in addition to learning the art of Music.
Dubai’s Eid Al Fitr spectacular performance are for the 72-hours of planned festivities.
Along with star-studded concerts, live entertaining acts , fireworks display will begin the calendar of events organised by the Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE).
Embracing the theme, ‘United in Celebration’, this year’s festivities will also offer residents a rare opportunity to experience rich Arabic customs, sample its scrumptious cuisine and partake in cultural activities through family-oriented social and entertainment events.
A statement issued by the Media Centre of DFRE, stated: “‘Eid in Dubai’ brings together families and individuals of all ages, nationalities and cultures together as they revel in the celebrations in every nook and corner of the emirate.”
