L’Antica Pizzeria Da Michele is happy to welcome many visitors of Italy’s foodie cities. In 2019 the 150-year-old pizzeria’s continued global expansion has seen it open at the prestigious Dubai’s City Walk. Among the emirate’s pizza places and tourists, it has been a widely welcomed and much-awaited arrival.
The interiors of L’Antica have an authentically rough feel,
far from the cosy trattoria we have seen in the neighbourhood. The speed at which the pizzas are produced is spell binding with the whole thing unfold over at the restaurant’s central wood-fired oven.
Pizzas range from the minimalist marinara to the burrata-loaded “Burj Khalifa, via traditional Napoletana” – are set in inside the oven before they’re served onto a plate and served. With just a brief time in the heat, they’re delicious – all blistered crust and dripping with a liberally applied tomato base. Best prepared for a pizza that far outsizes the plate on which it’s served.
Foodies 
must have limited starters and pasta – first and foremost because they’re really not what this place is known for.

The first U.S. location of the historic pizzeria featured in the film Eat Pray Love, L’Antica Pizzeria da Michele is located in the space which once held Hollywood’s beloved Café Des Artistes. Inspired by Italian courtyards, which serve as central gathering points for locals, guests can have L’Antica Pizzeria da Michele seated in “il cortile” the restaurant’s setting.
