La Petite Maison, A Premiere French Restaurant in Dubai

by DubaiCity Author

La Petite Maison first opened in the heart of old Nice on the southern coast of France in 1988. It was brought to the UAE by the Waney family and Chef Patron Raphael Duntoye in 2010. Inspired by a city renowned for culinary traditions, La Petite Maison’s timeless fusion food blends French-Mediterranean and Italian Ligurian flavours, which have evolved over many years. La Petite Maison is all about simplicity and fresh ingredients, a classy Mediterranean cuisine inspired by the old streets of Nice. Opened in 2010 as one of the most expected new restaurants in Dubai, LPM sits in Gate Village, in the Dubai International Financial Center, surrounded by art galleries, high-end shopping, Christie’s auction house, and hotels such as The Ritz-Carlton and Four Seasons.

La Petite Maison Dubai has repeatedly appeared on the coveted list of ‘World’s Best Restaurants by S. Pellegrino and Acqua Panna. The restaurant and Zuma Dubai are the only two restaurants to have made a list. La Petite Maison first appeared in Nice on the French coast in 1988. On the other hand, guests will love the restaurant’s big windows, high ceilings, and covers for a hundred more chairs on the terrace. It is a place of crackling energy that retains a somewhat conspiratorial feel – indeed, there is nowhere in Dubai quite like it. The bar, taking up nearly all of one wall, is quite a destination in its own right.

Overseen by chef patron Raphael Duntoye, the Dubai branch has been among the best restaurants since its opening. Some of its signature dishes are; King Crab and Lobster Salad, Foie Gras Terrine with Toasted Brioche, Thinly sliced Octopus with Lemon and Green Chilli Dressing, Tuna Carpaccio with Hazelnut, Snails with Garlic Butter. Furthermore, pasta and steak-lovers are in the right place as this restaurant serves only the best. Some of its best-sellers are; Parsley, Homemade Pasta with Beef Ragout and Mushroom, Grilled Wagyu Sirloin 250g, Grilled Rib Eye Steak 400g, Marinated Lamb Cutlets with Olive and Aubergine Caviar and Pine Nuts.
