KAYTO offers a blend of Peruvian and Japanese cuisine at Jumeirah Al Naseem

KAYTO jumeirahis a new pop-up restaurant over at Jumeirah Al Naseem, and the place serves Peruvian-Nikkei flavours, Japanese-inspired mixed drinks and live upbeat DJ sets throughout the week.

A must visit, KAYTO is set on the rooftop of The Palmery, the restaurant presents a blend of Peruvian and Japanese cuisine, along known as Nikkei, using a range of flavours including miso, yuzu, truffle and lime. KAYTO is a space of effortless cool, it is also exceptional. Guests are expected to be dressed is smart casuals.

Chef Goya’s umi chio-summersalt-goyagrandparents had travelled from Japan to Argentina with nothing. They very quickly adapted and became a part of a vibrant immigrant community in Buenos Aires and eventually established a thriving horticultural business. This unique endeavour has inspirated Goya allthrough his career. Ever since he was a child, the young chef had an appreciation for quality food, inspired by distinct cultural heritages. He was influenced from both and combined them to create a unique and experimental cooking style. After many years working in restaurants and hotels in Los Angeles, Paris and Geneva, he returned to Argentina to work in the family business, farming fresh fruit and vegetables. The restaurant is designed for sharing, Japanese-Argentinian kaytoChef Cristian Goya’s new menu showcases the flavours of Japan and South America, with everything from ceviche, special sushi nigiri and rolls, to an assortment of meaty dishes. For a taste of what dishes to expect, there’s roasted langoustines in a sweet and sour sauce, miso caramelized eggplant, along with freshly prepared Crudo. The signature dishes, expect saikyo miso black cod, Australian wagyu beef tataki and corn-fed chicken breast with truffle teriyaki sauce.
The sweet side of the menu, dessert include selection of mochi, cheesecake brûlée served with mandarin sorbet or espresso glace. KAYTO will be open until the end of May, 2020, and diners can look forward to taste all those Nikkei tastes.
