Juma Al-Majid Center for Culture and Heritage in Dubai is considered to be one of the landmarks that is visited by all those who come to United Arab Emirates since it contains the academic heritage of the Ummah and the contemporary scientific refinement.
It was established by Mr. Juma Al- Majid who had the strong will to serve the citizens of United Arab Emirates, particularly in academic research, scholars worldwide. Mr Juma Al Majid believes that knowledge should be shared, he felt that research scholars find it difficult to get books they require; he made up his mind to relieve their sufferings and overcome the difficulties they face obtaining the desired book.
In 1989, he laid the foundation-stone of the building which progressively developed and developed till it became full of treasures of knowledge which he put within reach of scholars anywhere they are found. The goal of the Center was to serve and promote knowledge, the Center was divided into a number of departments, each department had a distinct objective and program and each serving seekers of knowledge.
The Center’s system gives permission for people to borrow books for internal use only and not for external use. They permit photocopying service which enables researcher to photocopy the material of books or thesis, under some conditions.
With sincere commitment and dedication in the performance of work, the centre has a distinction and excellence in serving the researchers and scholars.

The highly motivated team believes in achieving development and continuous improvement through highly creative ideas. They collect and protect the human heritage by providing a library containing various sciences, knowledge and cultures, and facilitate the organized scientific research. The team members believe in cultural cooperation and exchanging experiences with cultural institutions and research centers inside the United Arab Emirates and abroad to achieve the human cultural unity.
The center organizes various cultural events, including lectures and scientific, administrative, and educational short courses, on both public and private scale.
