Hayal flavors of Istanbul is Dubai’s popular fine-dining hotspot at The St. Regis Downtown Dubai. The fabulous venue takes over the space previously occupied by Bleu Blanc. The restaurant offers masterfully prepared modern Turkish dishes amidst lively entertainment. The word Hayal means “daydream” in Turkish, is bringing artfulness, vibrance and brilliance to the heart of Dubai. Guests will surely feel as if they have landed in Istanbul when they see the lively open kitchen concept with modern yet traditional indoor and outdoor seating. The atmosphere is warm and social dynamic entertainment and service.
Location and Ambiance
The dining attraction is located on the Mezzanine level of The St. Regis Downtown Dubai. It features Turkish food in a creative and modern way. In addition, Hayal’s unique and ancient furnishings amaze guests as they explore the beautiful interior spaces. Upon entering the restaurant, they will surely feel great with the Turkish art that pops off the walls and showcases various cultural aspects. Moreover, the intricate details of the Turkish-designed chairs and lamps, and colorful mosiac tiles create a sophisticated and elegant overall ambience.
According to an article, the menu created by Roberto Segura, showcases succulent meats, strong coffees, and decadent desserts but with extravagance and luxurious flair. Hayal’s a la carte menu features wagyu beef tartar, stuffed mussels, grape leaves with raspberries and picked tuna, stracciatella sourdough pide, grilled octopus, 50- hours slow-braised short rib. Guests can also try Adana Kebab and a mixed meat platter. To complete the experience, a decadent Turkish delight suck as baklava, Anatolian rice pudding, kunefe or the signature Hayal dessert platter.
The Food and Beverages
Following their official launch, Hayal also unveiled their exquisite brunch menu last November 5, 2022, to be served as part of The St. Regis Downtown brunch. Featuring a spread of luscious Turkish fare, the brunch menu, served every Saturday from 12:30 till 4pm. It includes freshly baked goods from their bakery such as Turkish bagels with Kashkaval Cheese and Muhammara, Filo Pastry with Spinach, and Avocado Toast on Pita Bread with Tulum Cheese and Olives. Special egg-focused dishes include Menemen (egg with pan-fried tomato, onion, and green peppers), Cilbir (poached eggs, yogurt, garlic, chili peppers), and Shakshuka with Eggplant, Capsicum, Tomato and Onion.
