Hanami is a cool Palm restaurant and bar with Asian flair Dubai. The restaurants have spell-binding views. Asian restaurant Hanami is set at the top of Andaz Dubai The Palm and boasts super views across the sea and Palm Jumeirah.
During dinner it’s a fun test of geography to pick out landmarks and hotels from the glittering lights in the Dubai skyline, and it will be a top place to bring guests to once visitors return in full force.
Hanami has two terraces wrapped round the hotel’s restaurant, while inside the décor is lavish and sophisticated. The dimly lighting and pops of colour via neon designs and bright murals, making it give a very young and playful look. The views are the best, the food is equally overshadowed by the surroundings.
There’s a varied menu of Tokyo-style street food, starring sharing dishes including appetisers, maki rolls, sashimi, robata, tempura and a handful of mains and sides. Try takoyaki – traditional fried octopus balls with a zingy sweet and sour sauce. Teriyaki salmon skewers are well done, with the flaky fish pairing well with the sweet marinade. The giant king prawn tempura are absolutely delicious with tender, meaty prawns enveloped in a crispy, light batter. A side of brocollini is with filling and a rich, barbecue kimchi sauce, with meaty shimeji and enoki mushrooms. Enjoy pre-dinner drink as there are loads of inventive beverages in the menu, and classics with a Japanese twist. There’s also a list of Japanese beverages.
