Gonpachi Nishi-Azabu is famous for it was the location of former-US President Bush and former-Prime Minister Koizumi’s Izakaya Summit. The famous setting for its scene in Quentin Tarantino’s 2004 film Kill Bill. The nostalgic atmosphere of the restaurant takes you back to a Japan of a bygone era.
Wood theme is running throughout the space, as in the original Gonpachi in Tokyo. Long beams are crafted to create a unique canopy style design inside the venue, as well as out on the terrace. Upstairs offers a birds-eye view of the entire restaurant from a mezzanine floor. The place is decorated with soft white lamps offering a warm glow in the evening, while large sliding doors allow natural light to pour in in the daytime.
