The Abu Dhabi HSBC Championships for golf is up close, with only one week left! Yas Links Abu Dhabi, for the first time will host the opening Rolex Series event of the 2022 season.
Josh Hill, a 17-year-old Dubai golfer, and member at Trump International Golf Club is all up in preparing for the tournament. He mentioned having a daily routine that consists of five to six-hour practice after his early morning gym session.
Hill concentrates on two main areas of his game– driving and putting, definitely without having to set aside all other aspects of golf. He also works on his legs, upper body and does speed training, having these on a rotation basis throughout the week.
He played in the Dubai Creek Golf & Yacht Club’s Men’s Open over the weekend, since he felt that he needed to be competitive before next week. Hill was happy to have teamed up with an experienced DP World Tour caddie, Pete Hartley. He does his best to make this team up a really good one.
Hill recalls his first game of golf in the Dubai Creek, where it all started, and said that it was always nice to return, as he is always welcomed with friendly and familiar faces.
