First look: Black Tap opens at Mall of the Emirates

Popular black tapUS burger brand Black Tap has opened its doors at a brand-new location in Mall of the Emirates – and they have a new milkshake counter that is attracting a lot of customers.

This is the fifth branch for Black Tap in Dubai – following restaurants Rixos Premium JBR, Dubai Festival City Mall, The Dubai Mall and the original at Jumeirah Al Naseem.

Black Tap Mall of the Emirates covers 3,525 sq ft and offers up a casual all-American dining experience – with all the burgers and crazyshakes you like and love. Located on the first floor of the mall, the interiors, as with other branches, reflect Black Tap’s New York hip-hop roots and feature street art from UAE artists.

The black tap mall of emiratesmilkshake counter with a to go service including Black Tap’s top three bestselling shakes – the Brooklyn Blackout, Cookies ‘n Cream and the Cookie Shake in a to-go format. The menu features burgers, salads and sides, with tacos, fish and chips and wings dotted around the edges. The shakes are not to be missed. The meaty burgers and huge shakes, Black Tap is also home to the Impossible burger. The veganoptions. burger is well known for being almost indeterminable from meat, the burger uses common proteins – including soya – to recreate the “meatiness” of meat, just like the flavour and texture. Black Tap also does a vegan cakeshake.

All set to welcome with two counters the restaurant has one section for customers looking to dine-in and one, a dedicated freak shake counter, ready to serve three types of Black Tap’s Insta-famous shakes for take-away, when you desire that sugar rush. black tapAssorted burgers are available at Black Tap with so many varieties ideal for a feast. Keeping  it basic with the All-American burger, one can have the spicy Mexican city burger or even the truffle burger. Black Tap also has chicken, fish or vegan options for those who aren’t into beef. An assorted salads, fries and other sides are also available. Try the Insta-worthy freak shakes, those come piled high with sprinkles, cotton candy and even slices of cake. Seven of the flavours are served if you’re dining in, plus two new ones – Lotus or Pistachio.
