Located at SLS Dubai Hotel & Residences in Dubai’s Business Bay – Fi’lia Dubai is headed up by 25-year-old chef de cuisine Sara Aqel, the all-women culinary team is now ready to welcome diners and serve tasty dishes. Aqel trained under Massimo Bottura – the world-famous Michelin-starred chef, whose Italian restaurant Torno Subito is a hit on the Palm.
Set on the 70th floor of the hotel, Fi’lia offers 360-degree views across the city, while indoors is spacious, bright and airy with green foliage to enhance the look. With the Bahamas branch, there are also two Fi’lia restaurants in Miami – while this is a first for the region.
“Fi’lia 
is derived from the word figlia, meaning daughter in Italian and embodies a truly remarkable concept, run by women and empowering them to challenge the status quo in the industry” says the team. Their drinks menu has a 100 percent female-produced grape list. Try authentic Mediterranean dishes, their menu has three sections: nonna – traditional Italian flavours. Try contemporary versions of classics and relish a masterpiece. Fi’lia Dubai has a nonna section which includes dishes such as fried calamari, traditional antipasti, lasagne, ravioli Quattro formaggi, grilled prawns, pavola and more. Their mamma section includes burrata, vitello tonnato, due cacio e due pepe pasta, pappardelle with veal ragu, Angus tenderloin and more. The figlia section has exceptional dishes such as sea bass with a feta crust, lobster orzo, truffle risotto and sea bass carpaccio. Fi’lia Dubai also offers a selection of both classic and special pizzas with margheritas, burrata and bresaola and more as well as “la famiglia” sharing dishes.
The 
five-star SLS Dubai Hotel & Residences is one of the tallest hotels in the city when it opens in the third quarter of 2020. It will boast 254 expertly designed hotel rooms, 371 residential units and 321 hotel apartments. For dining purposes, guests will be able to decide between Italian restaurant Fi’lia (which will also serve as the all day dining restaurant) on level 70 and Carna, a steakhouse by award-winning Italian butcher Dario Cecchoni found on the 74th floor.
