Launched in 2003, the Emirates Airline Dubai Jazz Festival or Jazz Fest as it is commonly known now, has fascinated thousands of music lovers over the years.
The upcoming 14th edition of the Jazz Fest has been organised after years of conducting successful event and also by creating a one-of-a-kind experience for fans and artists alike.
This time again, music lovers will get to enjoy an unquestionably great line-up. With the theme of Much More Than Jazz, they can expect twice the jazz and more of the classic rock, indie rock, pop and urban – an unbeatable mix of quality live entertainment.
US pop-rock band, TOTO, will perform at Dubai Jazz Fest and Youtube sensation Postmodern Jukebox (PMJ) will be ready to open for them, performing pop songs with a vintage twist.
Another popular artist has come together in the line-up, the multi- talented and award winning guitarist Carlos Santana who will be performing in the this year’s jazz fest. Also returning is Sting along with Chris Botti. One more band has been added “James” from the UK will join the line up.
This music festival began in 2003 as a 3-day mainstream jazz festival selling 1,200 tickets for the 1st edition and since the 2nd edition, the numbers have doubled and tripled. In 2014, the festival was attended by more than 60,000 attendees for the whole 9 days. And in 2015 the festival got back to its base in Dubai Media City with a 3 sold out nights with more than 35,000 music fans over the 3 nights. The Emirates Airline Dubai Jazz Festival 2016 will also see music lovers flock the venue in large numbers.
The event will have food outlets for everyone including top restaurant brands such as 800 Pizza, Burger Fuel, Calle Tacos, Doner Kebab, El Greco, Fat Burger, Gobai, Itzza Pizza, Jdoudna, Moti Roti, Napoli Ice Cream, Oregano, Rudy’s, Saj 2 Go, Shawarma Station and Toasted Dubai that specializes in gourmet grilled cheese sandwiches in addition to fish and chips, hotdogs and custom fries. The event will also serve food from Victorian Baking Ovens that will be setting up four stalls.
