One of the most anticipated races in the city will be back again for the ninth round in 2014. Dubai Autodrome is ready to host the first international endurance race of the new year for GTs, touring cars and 24H Specials.

Dr Mohammed Ben Sulayem, President of the Automobile and Touring Club of the UAE (ATCUAE) and FIA Vice-President gave a press statement about the event for the competing teams and the quality infrastructure, and recognizing the Dubai race to be at par with the strength of the international motor racing calendar.
The ninth edition of the event, that will take place on January 10 and 11 at Dubai Autodrome, is conducted under the patronage of Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Dubai Sports Council.
Dr. Ben Sulayem said that the race will be bigger in size and quality. Top rated teams and drivers compete for the prestigious endurance race trophies on the international motor racing calendar. This event has given UAE a great opportunity to be one of the most advanced arcade in motor sport development, along with the teams, drivers, officials, marshals and all the support staff that work relentlessly behind the scenes.
A total of 80 cars are going on the grid when the UAE flag waves at the start point of the race at 2.00 pm on Friday, with over 300 drivers doing duty during the course of the 24 hours, with a back-up crew of over 1000 in number to support the race.
