Sarah Sillis designs have made life simple for the active and fashion-conscious ladies in hijab. She has added comfort and style to the conservative sportswear and has introduced her own line of modest sports apparel – SaQueena.
The concept is an extension of the burqini that came about as a swimwear collection. The two pieces had the trousers and cap attached with it.
The Dubai-based designer couldn’t manage to shop for stylish Muslim sportswear, and came up with a line of her own. She launched a few designs with the inspiration from four generations of designers in her Belgian family.
Keeping up with the modern-day styles, she has gained approval of famous Arab women. The fashionable quotient for a gear that provides comfortable movements for veiled women was not given much attention. Designer Sillis herself wanted to experience a garment that catered to all needs of a workout.
The brand ‘SaQueena’, gave a stylish and fun new look for personal use during activities. The designer is aware that most ladies have to go to five different stores to put together a complete look. She launched a one-stop solution for women stylish Muslim sportswear that prefer covering up and still feel the comfort factor along with feeling confident in their clothes.
Clients can avail the turban style caps, also available with embellishments giving the garment a feminine feel. Designer Sillis has tried to keep away from boring colors and integrated geometrical designs with dark shades of blue, green and pink as combinations. The fabric comes from Europe and Turkey, mainly using flowy Lycra, polyester and viscose tailored to cater for each body type.
This designer sportswear is available in lovely colours and designs; the hijabis do not have to settle for unappealing polyester suits anymore.
