Dubai Sports World offers the sports enthusiasts of Dubai an opportunity to enjoy their favourite sports indoors during the summer heat. With one of the leading indoor playing fields. Enthusiasts can book a court with mates or simply join in with other players and enjoy playing their favourite sports in the middle of summer in an indoor setting.
The indoor sporting facilities include full-size artificial grass football, a rugby pitch for football games and professional training sessions, a running track, personal training and fitness boot camp facilities, indoor skate park, cricket pitch, two tennis courts, Wire World, and a parkour playground.
For the last five years Dubai Sports World has made available a comfortable sporting oasis for the city’s sports teams and fitness enthusiasts during the sweltering summer. The activities are held in the Sheikh Saeed Hall in Dubai World Trade Centre, DSW offers 16 sports, seven summer camps and one full size athletics track, all under a fully air conditioned roof. Sports fans can play, practice and train from 08:00 through to 01:00 during Ramadan and until midnight afterwards, in 22,000 square metres of dedicated sports space.
DSW also offers Wire World – a zip line park that is a high energy activity area where kids (aged three to 12) can zip across a circuit of wooden platforms and bridges. Bungee trampoline where kids are secured in a harness and can safely bounce extra high and try flips and somersaults. Parkour and calisthenics are the newest trends in Dubai’s fitness communities and Against Graviti will be teaching kids and adults ways to run fast and use their own body weight and momentum to move between obstacles.
DSW has a selection of free activities with no membership fees or hidden charges, just turn up and get involved. The full 400 metre athletics track is open to runners seeking to keep up their form through summer, especially as the calendar starts to fill with marathons and 10k events again. Ping Pong Dubai are supporting a community initiative to encourage more people to take up the fast-paced game. Badminton players also get to play for free and the facility has six badminton courts with professional standard rubber floors. Visitors can join in Freestyle Group Training classes, a gym floor class offered by qualified trainers for free, but classes such as Zumba, Body Pump and Pilates are chargeable.
