Under the patronage of HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Dubai Motor Festival is all set to amaze families and tourists.
The Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE), an agency of the Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM), recently announced details of the Dubai Motor Festival.
The schedule of events for Dubai Motor Festival (DMF) 2014, which is the region’s biggest annual motoring extravaganza, was released at a press conference held at Meydan Hotel.
Scheduled to take place from 19th November to 6th December under the theme ‘Passion on Wheels’, DMF 2014 will offer an exciting motoring experience for residents and visitors in Dubai.
Dubai is rearing to witness some of the biggest names in the world of motorsport along with a spectacular line-up of motoring events. The event will further boost Dubai’s reputation as a year round family tourism destination.
The Dubai Motor Festival is a part of the Emirate’s strategy to use festivals and events as a means to attract tourists in line with Dubai’s Tourism Vision 2020.
The celebration of motoring passion can be seen at the Dubai Motor Festival opening. The annual motoring season in the UAE creates a world-class series of events that propose unique and engaging motoring experiences for drivers, dealers and families. From events that are being held for the first time in the world – and the region – to the most amazing cars, spectacular parades and fabulous deals, Dubai Motor Festival 2014 will showcase a number of activities designed to excite and engage the community, and to make motoring entertainment accessible to the entire family.
H. E. Laila Mohammed Suhail, CEO of Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE), an agency of the Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM), said: “Dubai Motor Festival is one of many citywide festivals that DFRE organises with the aim of diversifying Dubai’s portfolio of attractions, and to further enhance Dubai’s position as a world-class family tourism destination across the year, in addition to highlighting the robust and vibrant retail business of the motor industry in Dubai. This is especially so as the Emirate is considered a leading regional market, prompting many global brands and car manufacturers to establish their regional offices here in Dubai.
“We at DFRE, a government of Dubai establishment, have always based our thought process when launching new festivals on two main factors – its ability to attract regional and international tourists, and its direct and indirect impact on Dubai’s retail sector and local economy in general. For the second edition of Dubai Motor Festival, DFRE has captured the local and regional passion evident for motoring in all its forms, and have also created an exemplary platform for the local and international private entities to use it as a launch pad for innovative and creative ideas, that will surely cement Dubai’s position as a world-class hub for tourism and innovation”, H.E. Laila Suhail added.
