The Dubai Food Festival is the most popular citywide food festival in the Middle East. Organised every year it celebrates Dubai’s advent as a gastronomic destination. Proposing a calendar of sensational food-related events and promotions, highlighting Dubai’s unique food scene, its personalities and it’s world-class dining experiences. Dubai Food Festival is organized by Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE), an agency of Dubai’s Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM).
The famous event will also feature demos by celebrity chef Suzanne Husseini and Izu Ani, head chef of La Serre. The relaxation zone features a Bedouin tent with Arabic coffee, falcons and henna, along with many kids’ activities and competitions at Burj Park, Downtown Dubai. The event will be conducted from February 25-27 from 12:00 to 17:00 and also in the evening from 06:00 to 23:00.
The Fatafeat kitchen is the only Arab food channel in the Middle East. The event is focused to give an opportunity for food-enthusiasts and lovers of the Fatafeat channel to experience cooking demos, talks, tastings and much more from the admired Fatafeat chefs.The event is also going to conduct competitions and Q&A sessions. Including international chefs Lidia Bastianich and Arda Turkuman, and famous Fatafeat chefs such as Mohamad Orfali, Tarek Ibrahim and Salma Sulaiman, the event promises to feature ten celebrity chefs. Food enthusiasts can be visited on location Level 2, Galeries Lafayette, Dubai Mall on February 26, 27.
Etisalat Beach Canteen will host a different fitness class such as HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training), yoga (morning and evening), Pilates or you could go in for the ‘Workout Wednesdays’ by Physique TV. Visitors can come with their families for sessions of storytelling by the sea every Thursday and Wednesday.
Fresh local produce can be provided from the best of Dubai’s Farmers’ Market. Open mic nights, musical mocktail evenings and weekly movies (on Fridays), will be organised along with delicious dishes to try at Kite Beach Date from February 26 to March 12. Entry is free for all.
DFF will also have fine-dining restaurants and local eateries presenting their stellar dishes to the public. Thirty restaurants will offer their dishes at a standard rate of Dh189 per person. Events to try also include Street Nights (March 4-5), Raffles Garden Food & Fun Market (March 4-5), Chocolate Fiesta (February 25-27) and many more.
