For 1 Million Needy Children – In the spirit of Ramadan initiative launched by Vice-President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum is going to provide new clothes for 1 million deprived children around the world. Telecoms company du has decided to pledge its support for the programme.
A press statement said that the company will donate Dhs3 million to support the initiative, which will provide clothing for 75,000 needy children.
Furthermore, du has decided to promote the campaign by encouraging people through its social media channels and will contribute a division for the movement on its website. They are encouraging their employees to spread the word about the initiative and has people using their Twitter and Instagram accounts by supporting the campaign account (@Dress1Million); in addition people can know more about the proceedings of the initiative through its hash- tag (#Dress1MillionNeedyChildren). The campaign has touched the lives of more than 200,000 children around the world by now, they have benefited from UAE’s most recent charity campaign intended at providing clothes to needy children.
The unique campaign launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai has children in Bosnia to receive new clothes from the money raised. The initiative has touched millions of lives in the region and globally been providing to the needy regardless of race, colour or religion.
