The Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE), an agency of the Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM), has made an announcement that the 8th edition of “Eid in Dubai – Eid Al Adha” celebrations will be held for ten days from 17 – 26 September this year.
The annual ‘Eid in Dubai’ is a time for everyone from different communities and cultures from within and outside the emirate to come together and celebrate. As the celebrations of Eid A Adha, theDFRE believes in promoting the true spirit of the emirate’s multicultural environment under the theme, “United in Celebration”. ‘Eid in Dubai’ is a social and cultural initiative of DFRE that was launched in 2008 to provide residents and visitors the opportunity to discover and learn Arabic customs, cuisine and culture through family-oriented events.
Eid in Dubai is one of the citywide festivals and celebrations that is organized by DFRE every year, as part of efforts to support the growth of retail and tourism sectors.
The two main pillars of Dubai’s economy, with the purpose of positioning Dubai as a year-round family tourism destination. The ten day celebrations will meticulously follow a successful summer calendar organized by DFRE which comprises the Dubai Summer Surprises that will complete on 5 September.
The “Eid in Dubai” celebrations create a sociable ambience for residents and visitors through a number of events and activities joined with a rewarding shopping experience. This year also, the ‘Eid in Dubai’ celebrations will feature several entertainment and shopping options for the entire family that will form part of the thrilling ‘Eid in Dubai’ calendar of events and activities to be unveiled shortly by DFRE.
