Eveyone is excited to visit Children’s City as the fun never stops. The whole family can have a merry time packed with activities and entertainment.
Kids can watch three live shows: ‘Tarzan,’ ‘Peter Pan’ and ‘Maths Is Our Life’. There are many exciting workshops for little ones, they can join and get a chance to win prizes. Two sessions are going to be conducted each day, one for early birds and an evening session for those who feel creative towards the end of the day.
The government has confirmed that private sector workers will get a four day break (two working days off). The UAE’s Ministry of Human Resources has just confirmed that private sector workers in the UAE will get two days of paid holiday to mark Eid Al Fitr this year. The paid days off will be the first and second days of Shawwal 1425. If most moon estimations are correct, Eid Al Fitr will begin on Sunday June 25, which will mean a four day weekend for private sector workers from Thursday June 22 to Monday June 26. While, as always, the confirmation of the Eid date will be announced until the night before when the moon is sighted, most scholars believe that the month of Shawwal, signifying the breaking of the fast, will begin on Sunday June 25 (although some think it will be Monday June 26). Public sector workers will get an even longer break, and the Federal Authority for Government Human Resources has announced that Eid al-Fitr holiday for federal ministries and authorities in the UAE will begin on Saturday June 24. Work for those in the government sector is likely to resume on Wednesday June 28.
Children’s City is a fun place for everyone including kids. The Dubai-based play zone is the first educational city in the UAE designed for children between the ages of two and fifteen. Children can investigate, explore, play, discover, learn about the world in which in we live and at the same time have great fun. Children’s City is a three storey building located next to the Creek Park and is open 7 days a week. The City is specially designed for children to interact and discover together in family and school groups. It comprises of several exhibits and programs on applied sciences, nature, space exploration, human body, local and international culture as well as a kid’s corner and a planetarium. Children’s City presents daily educational workshops throughout the year at the different galleries or in the purpose-built halls and entertainment programmes at the Children’s City Theatre for school students, children and families. Play Space is a huge play area where children get a chance to build a house or bridge, recycle rubbish or take part in a factory production line. Many other areas including Planetarium Zone helps children to learn while testing out space equipment. Children will never get bored at Children’s City with numerous activities to participate in, and even adults can enjoy spending time here.
There’s something for everyone; each area contains interactive features where children can actually get involved, encouraging learning as they go along the little city.
