Dubai is Eid Al Adha from 11 September – 16 September 2016. Unbelievable fireworks display will lights up the skies above The Beach, JBR. People can grab spots so as to get a closer look with the best, unobstructed views of the remarkable show of configuration and categorization, colour and sound, brilliance and mobility. It is recommended to get to the spots early as it will most likely fill up fast. After the show, the festivities inside the restaurants on The Beach will continue the holiday celebration.
Dubai is preparing for 9th ‘Eid in Dubai-Eid Al Adha’ celebrations. The festivities will begin from 8 to 17 September and people from diverse cultural backgrounds will be a part of the ‘United in Celebration’ theme during ten days of citywide festivities. Highlights will showcase live concerts featuring iconic singers, fireworks shows and many family-oriented events at malls. The Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE), an agency of the Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (Dubai Tourism), has unveiled the highlights of its annual ‘Eid in Dubai’ celebrations aimed at further enhancing Dubai’s position as the holiday destination of choice for families and tourists during the joyous occasion of Eid Al Adha. The ninth edition of ‘Eid in Dubai – Eid Al Adha’ will showcase the true spirit of Dubai’s multicultural environment.
Highlights of this year’s ‘Eid in Dubai – Eid Al Adha’ celebrations include live concerts featuring some of the iconic Arab singers, Rabeh Saqer and Shamma Hamdan on 13 September and Mohamed Abdo on 16 September; a performance by Pakistani singer and Sufi maestro Ustad Rahat Fateh Ali Khan. A Looney Tunes show is all set to feature Daffy Duck and Bugs Bunny and numerous events for families and children hosted by malls across Dubai. Along with the entertainment offering, Eid shoppers can avail themselves of the opportunity to win prizes up to AED 1.5 million in the ‘Shop. Spin & Win’ promotion run by DFRE in collaboration with the Dubai Shopping Malls Group.
In addition to the ‘Eid in Dubai’ calendar, residents and visitors can also enjoy numerous other attractions that make Dubai a ‘must-visit’ year round destination, including the mega theme park, IMG Worlds of Adventure.
As part of the campaign to attract more visitors from markets, two social media influencers are going to travel to Saudi Arabia to promote the ‘Eid in Dubai – Eid Al Adha’ celebrations through various general knowledge quiz competitions and live shows, offering prizes and gifts to the winners.
