The Lighthouse (TLH) the lighthouseis all set to open its doors in the Dubai Design District (d3) this winter and is going to feature a curated space for food and design.

The Lighthouse is  set to showcase a unique selection of gifting merchandise and products focused to define a contemporary design aesthetic in the Middle East. The carefully curated environment is united with a café headed by a celebrity Dubai-based chef, and is designed to become a gathering point for members of the region’s creative community, allowing them to share both meals and ideas. The Lighthouse is termed after one of the seven wonders of the ancient world, a figure that remained one of the tallest man-made structures for many centuries. The company aims to feature a the most prominent every day the lighthousedesign in its many forms. The name is in accordance with Virginia Woolf and the members of the Bloomsbury Set. That philosophy is at the essence of TLH’s ethos and is one of the main forces behind the founders’ belief that by combining a concept store and café under one roof. They have created an overall experience whose sum is far greater than the individual parts. The Lighthouse is Dubai’s newest concept store, which opened on January 8 2017. It is located in Dubai Design District and it features a curated selection of exceptional design and fantastic food.

Visitors will get to buy cool and quirky handcrafted items and have a feast on delicious healthy bites. There will be a chocolate stand by hipster chocolatiers Mast, with custom made treats, with some made of unusual ingredients like the lighthousesea salt, sheep and goats milk. Izu Ani is well-known chef behind Parisian-style café La Serre, is the man who has the charge of The Lighthouse’s kitchen, so visitors can look forward to some scrumptious choux pastries.

The Lighthouse is a cool minimalistic space where there is will be a bit of everything happening, from debates, to exhibitions and a gift area selling arty goods like Scandinavian-style furniture and handcrafted phone chargers. It’s focused to become a gathering point for Dubai and the Middle East’s creative community.
