4th international civil and military helicopter technology and operations exhibition in Dubai

On September 2nd and 4th 2010 will take place the 4th "Dubai Helishow", the international civil and military helicopter technology and operations exhibition, that is one of the most important trade show for the helicopter industry in the Middle East.
The biennial show will be held in the Expo Centre of the Dubai Airport and will host the first Military and Homeland Security Exhibition and the Defense and Paramilitary Conference: two events that will feature the latest products, services and technologies developed in the field.
Some of the global industry leaders, such as Locked Martin, Sikorsky and Eurocopter, will take part in the event: they will exhibit their technological developments for air transport.
Abdulla Abulhoul, CEO of Mediac Communications & Exhibitions LLC, organizer of the event, says that helicopter missions are increasing in the UEA, because of the growing population, that "Has been mirrored in the local healthcare sector. This in turn has spurred the evolution of the air medical and rescue service". This led to "A growing dependence on helicopters for transportation of passengers and equipment, as well as the transportation of [...] supplies during emergencies".
"Dubai Helishow" is under the patronage of Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of UAE and ruler of Dubai.
