  Quran Award cultural event

  The Dubai International Holy Quran Award (DIHQA) on Friday announced the cultural programme for its 14th session.

Head of the award organising committee, Chancellor Ibrahim Bu Melha, said 28 lectures — 25 in Arabic, two in Malayalam and one in Bengali — will be delivered this year. "The lectures, all scheduled to start at 10:15pm, are to be given in four locations namely the Dubai Chamber of Commerce, the Dubai Police Academy, the Dubai Social Reform Society, and the Dubai Women’s Association."

The Arabic lectures are to be given by Dr Mohammed Ratib Al Nabulsi —Syria, Sheikh Sulaiman Al Jubailan – Saudi Arabia, Prof Dr Sabri Al Demerdash —Egypt, Prof Dr Yusuf Juma Salam — Imam of Al Aqsa Masjid, Dr Omar Abdul Kafi — Egypt, Prof. Dr Al Arabi Kushat — Paris, Sheikh Salem Abul Futuh — Egypt, Nawara Hashim — Egypt, Prof Dr Esam bin Saleh Al Uwayed — Saudi Arabia, Dr Anas bin Mesfer — Saudi Arabia.

Sheikh Abdul Samad Samadani, Abo Saleh Mohammad Tariqul Islam and Sahfi Saquafi Mundambra will speak in Malayalam and Bengali at the Dubai Social Reform Society in Qusais from August 19 to 21.
