MAHE launches Allied Health Sciences programme in Dubai |

Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) has announced the expansion of Manipal College of Allied Health Sciences to its Knowledge village campus in Dubai, thus stepping out of India onto foreign shores for the first time by embarking on exciting career options in health care profession.
Allied Health Science is a new concept in health care and constitutes a separate stream of health professionals contributing to the healthcare.
Allied health professionals are an integral part of the medical team along with doctors and nurses contributing their expertise to the preventive, curative and rehabilitative care of the patients.
In a statement here on Tuesday, Manipal College of Allied Health Sciences Dean and Prof. Dr B Rajashekhar said, "Globally, allied health professionals comprise over 60 per cent of the healthcare workforce. The role of the allied health professionals is increasing rapidly and the enormous demand coupled with shortage of qualified allied health professionals makes it challenging with excellent career prospects." |
