If you're searching for holiday deals with which you can enjoy a luxurious destination, glorious sunshine and great shopping, why not head to Dubai this summer? Hosting a major shopping event between June and July, the emirate is perfect for an indulgent sunshine getaway.
Whether you're simply looking to pamper yourself or want some quality time with your partner away from the pressures of work, Dubai trips can be the ideal solution.
And there is perhaps no better time to go than the summer months, when the beaches are bathed in a golden glow and the shopping really hits highs.
Indeed, running from June 22nd to July 31st is Dubai Summer Surprises - or DSS - an event that sees shoppers flocking in their millions to the Emirate's fabulous malls.
Around 50 of the local luxury retail centres drop their prices, offering excellent bargains on all kinds of amazing goods. So, if you're something of a shopaholic, this could really be the festival for you!
However, there is much more going on at DSS than great deals alone. Exhibitions, concerts and the chance to win wonderful prizes - such as spa treatments - are also the order of the day.
Of course, Dubai is famed for its fabulous souks too, so if you have time during your short getaway, make sure you head down to the gold souk to see the stunning array of jewellery on offer. Even if you're not planning to make a purchase, simply strolling through the market stalls is an experience in itself.
And once you've done as much shopping as you can, you might like to take a little time to simply unwind on the beach's sandy shores. Slipping into the water is another must - letting yourself float on the salty seas, you're sure to feel any stress simply met away.
Meanwhile, if you'd like to explore a little more of the destination before jetting off home, you'll discover there's plenty else to see.
To soak up a little culture, why not visit the Jumeirah Mosque, which offers tours of the impressive building several days a week?
