Burj Khalifa Suicide: Jump From World's Tallest Building Ended Halfway

In the first documented suicide jump from the Burj Khalifa, a man jumped to his death on Tuesday. The 828 meter tall skyscraper in Dubai is the tallest structure in the world.
The man didn't fall all the way though - after jumping from the 147th floor, he landed on a deck on the 108th floor, since the skyscraper is constructed in segments that become slimmer towards the top. Otherwise he could have set the record for the longest suicide jump.
Local media in Dubai, among them the Gulf News, reported the event and said the man committed suicide after a dispute with his company.
The tower has a total of 160 usable stories, among them the highest observation deck and the highest hotel in the world, on the 124th and the 122nd floor, respectively.
