ATM 2011 Consumer Day provides exhibitors with an opportunity to interact with their customers in an informal setting. Consumers are afforded the chance to travel across the five continents, being able to explore an excellent value family weekend escape or maybe an exclusive luxury hideaway.
"With opportunities to book trips, take advantage of fantastic discounts and enjoy an array of international entertainment, we are offering a trip around the world in less than a day," said Mark Walsh, Group Exhibition Director, Reed Travel Exhibitions, organiser of Arabian Travel Market 2011.
While the majority of Arabian Travel Market caters to the various sectors of the industry, Consumer Day features a number of activities and special offers geared specifically to the general public. Visitors can experience new destinations and enjoy cultural performances, plan their next adventure or unwind in the Arabian Travel Market Relaxation Zone. They can also benefit from the seminar and education programme, where consumers can hear insider tips on the next 'it' destination or find out the latest trends in travel fashion accessories.
International exhibitors from countries around the world will be on hand to provide visitors with information and insight, including a number of debutants exhibiting this year, such as, Poland, Hungary, Mexico, Slovenia and the Ukraine.
A number of competitions and prize draws will also be running throughout ATM Consumer Day. Among the prizes that will be on offer are an Apple iPad, with pre-registered guests going into the draw. All-inclusive travel and luxury accommodation packages in Dubai and Oman are also up for grabs at the event.
"Visitors can win a weekend break for two, inclusive of breakfast and dinner at the luxury Sofitel Jumeirah Beach Hotel, Dubai. Pre-registered guests can also win a luxury weekend for two in Muscat, Oman, including a stay in a five-star hotel and return flights," said Walsh.
Indeed, for exhibitors, ATM Consumer Day is an excellent barometer of travel demand and booking trends, providing a unique opportunity to get up close and personal with their audience.
"Consumers still provide valuable end-user feedback and key insight for industry professionals," added Walsh.
With an engaged, enthusiastic audience of potential customers from all walks of life visiting the show, Consumer Day represents a rare chance for travel businesses, such as tour operators, to learn more about their market through guest analysis, visitor surveys and other channels of receiving feedback.
Arabian Travel Market is held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE, Ruler of Dubai. Now approaching its eighteenth year, the show has grown to become the largest showcase of its kind in the region and one of the biggest in the world. In 2010, Arabian Travel Market featured 2,236 exhibitors across more than 20,000 square metres, attracting more than 22,000 visitors.
