Dubai Media City, twofour54 and Arabian Radio Network (ARN) will be the gold sponsors for the 10th edition of the Arab Media Forum (AMF) to be held in Dubai.
The Dubai Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM) is the platinum sponsor while Emirates airlines will serve as the official carrier for the event, organisers Dubai Press Club said in a release.
Dubai Media Incorporated (DMI) will be the strategic partner for the event that is being organised under the patronage of His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai from 17-18 May at the Grand Hyatt.
Themed 'Arab Media: Riding out the Storms of Change', AMF 2011 is expected to witness 60 global speakers taking the podium with the participation of media experts from newspapers, television, radio and the academia.
Adel Ibrahim, Director of Operations, Dubai Press Club, said: "During the previous nine editions, the forum has successfully attracted leading local and international institutions. Arab Media Forum has come to be regarded as a credible platform for analysing media issues and developments across the Arab world through its calibre to evoke the perspectives of elite media leaders every year.
"Dubai Press Club is grateful to all the organisations for their support to the event, which in its tenth edition is set to once again debate on highly topical issues of relevance to the region. We are confident the event will prove as successful as the previous editions."
As the strategic sponsor, DMI will provide support through its television network, radio and newspaper. It will broadcast all the AMF workshops and feature interviews with the VIP guests. In its status as the official carrier, Emirates airline will fly the guests and media from across the globe into Dubai.
Wayne Borg, Operational Chairman and Executive Vice-President, twofour54, said: "twofour54 is working on forging a strong alliance with the Arab Media Forum. We share the same goals, the most important being the development of the media sector in the region, and the strengthening of leadership of the UAE media. We continue through the twofour54 Academy to train and support the Arab youth in general. We also aim to encourage university graduates and non-graduates to engage with the media and entertainment industries and highlight the inherent opportunities they offer."
Dubai Media City's sponsorship of AMF 2011 coincides with its celebration of 10 years of consistent success.
