Excited brides and grooms-to-be will be descending upon the UAE capital in their thousands during the next few days as the Middle East’s premier wedding event, The Bride Show, opens today in Abu Dhabi, being held at the newly opened Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC) from March 13 – 16, 2007.
The four day event, being organised by IIR exhibitions, will feature more than 140 Middle Eastern exhibitors and suppliers showcasing the products and services necessary for a perfect wedding. Targeting both local and expatriate brides-to-be, the exhibition will feature haute couture fashion, accessories, jewellery, photography, flower design, wedding cakes, honeymoon specialists, sound and light professionals, flower designers and daily fashion shows.
Commenting on the event, Simon Horgan, CEO, ADNEC said, “Public events such as the Bride Show are very important to us as they engage and involve the community with the incredible developments taking place here. High quality consumer exhibitions help ADNEC in achieving our goal of being recognised as a premier lifestyle destination where people want to come to enjoy the facilities and the experience.”
ADNEC recently opened Phase One of its new state-of-the-art Exhibition Centre and is attracting large scale international events previously unable to be staged in Abu Dhabi. Since the opening, ADNEC has emerged as a favoured destination for weddings and receptions, with many wedding parties booking the venue during the next few months.
When fully complete in 2008, ADNEC will provide 55,000sqm of exhibition floor space making it one of the largest exhibition venues in the Middle East.
